How Democracy Works Now

Client

Shari Robertson & Michael Camerini are a directing / producing team who have created numerous award-winning documentaries. (Level has collaborated with them on multiple projects since 1999.)

Challenge

Develop the overall visual branding, main title sequence and on-air graphics for the twelve-part film series about the Democratic process that premiered on HBO.

Solution

A title sequence that suggests the character-driven nature of the films, with twelve unique variations tailored to each of the "stories" that make up the series.

CNN

Client

CNN Presents is an award-winning, weekly American documentary program that looks in-depth at important news stories of the times.

Challenge

Develop three different concepts for the opening title sequence for the CNN Presents documentary, “We Were Warned: Iran.”

Solution

Concept 1: Dossier: intelligence-gathering. Concept 2: Juxtaposition of sound and imagery from both “sides;” Concept 3: Abstract line moves in relationship to images and is revealed to be the map of Iran.

MetLife

MetLife is one of the leading providers of insurance and financial services to millions of individuals and organizations throughout the United States.

Challenge

Create an animated presentation to be used by MetLife broker’s to potential clients during in-person sessions.

Solution

An animation that tells the story of MetLife and visualizes the relationship between MetLife and its customers, including an custom app that allows each broker to customize it.

Challenge

Create a motion sequence that expresses the essence of NYFA’s mission.

Solution

An animation that draws an analogy between NYFA’s tag line and a dandelion scattering its tendrils.

Client

Smart Apparel is a leading resource for top clothing brands and retailers, offering concepts, design, merchandising, manufacturing and delivery services to its clients.

Challenge

Develop a visual message that suggests the nature of the company, to be used in their reception area, and as an environmental element in their showroom space.

Solution

A “woven” pattern of the brands that are customers of Smart Apparel lining the alcoves behind product examples.

INA

Client

INA is New York’s best and most well-known designer consignment store, with five locations in New York City.

Challenge

Establish an appropriate and recognizable brand image that will speak to fashion consumers.

Solution

Created an animated web introduction that reflected the style of the Opening Party Invitation, and served as a Store Opening announcement.
