Deutsche Bank

Client

Deutsche Bank has assembled the world’s largest corporate collection under the title “Art At Work” which today constitutes 50,000 works of art.

Challenge

Create a catalog that would express the DB art mandate of corporate responsibility, and serve as a "slice" of the DB America's collection.

Solution

A catalog that tells the story of the DB collection with a unique visual impact geared toward its art focus, but that does not go against the DB brand.

P.S.1/ Minus Space

Minus Space is a curatorial project based in Brooklyn, New York presenting innovative reductive art.

Challenge

Create a Poster that would represent the Minus Space project and artists for the Exhibition curated by and held at at P. S. 1 / MoMA.

Solution

A Poster that was used to advertise the show (with an animated version as well) and, in a larger scale, that became part of the actual Exhibition space, and a take-away for attendees.

New York Public Library

Challenge

Create a Catalog that would function as an extension of the exhibition by presenting the artwork within the context of the Curator’s point of view.

Solution

A Catalog that visualizes what the branch of artificial intelligence “Machine Learning” is about and helps the viewer see the artists’ work within this conceptual context.

Opera America

Opera America — the National Service Organization for Opera — is a leader in the opera community, supporting the creation, presentation and enjoyment of opera.

Challenge

The organization needed a new set of modular marketing materials that would further develop its brand image.

Solution

A suite of 3 Brochures that can be used separately or in different combinations, each targeting a specific audience. The organizational Brochure’s expanding format communicates the organizations’ mission, and becomes a poster when opened completely.

Title sequence that reveals the significance of the film’s title to be an excerpt from the U.S. law defining what an individual must prove to gain political asylum in the United States.

GreeneStreet Films is an independent film production and finance company based in New York City founded in 1997.

Challenge

Level Design was asked to help GreeneStreet come out from “behind the radar” by developing its new image as embodied in a hybrid Capabilities Brochure / Pitch Book.

Solution

A modular book with sections that are “evergreen” (Capabilities Brochure) and sections that are partially “pre-printed” and then customized by GreeneStreet in-house.

New York Foundation for the Arts

New York Foundation for the Arts / NYFA gives more support to artists and arts organizations than any other private foundation in the country.

Challenge

Since 1994 Level has designed over 30 print pieces for NYFA, including Invitations, annual reports, a quarterly magazine, newsletters, brochures, postcards and and folders.

Solution

A wide range of print pieces, each with its own visual impact, yet consistent with the overall NYFA brand that we have developed.

Challenge

Create a Poster and series of bilingual Brochures encouraging women to consider birth control.

Solution

Poster focused on the woman as the center of reproductive choice (along with Class Action members Debra Drodvillo, Mark Maltais and Louise Scovell).

P.O.V. / Point of View

P.O.V. (a cinema term for “point of view”) is a film series founded in 1988 presenting the best of independent documentary film on PBS.

Challenge

Develop the season’s print campaign to reflect P.O.V.’s message, and serve as a marketing piece for all PBS subscribers.

Solution

For four consecutive years, Level Design developed materials to reflect P.O.V.’s core ideas, while expressing the “theme” of each season and its films.

Develop a series of marketing materials to promote a specific Broker, their expertise and the properties that they represent.

The development of a unique brand for each Broker who commissioned us to help them develop their marketing materials, including a series of brochure, identity, postcard, and calendars.

Client

Yale University Film Studies is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on the history, theory and criticism of film and other moving image media.

Challenge

Design a Poster for a Film Conference “The Movies Begin” that suggests some of the time-based qualities of film in a static medium.

Solution

A poster reminiscent of a large film negative, silk screened on acetate, and designed to be hung on glass so action on either side could become part of the poster.
