Author/Designer Timothy Samara Speaks About Brand Identity Design at Rutgers University–Newark, Graphic Design Program

Timothy Samara visited the Graphic Design Program in the Arts, Culture & Media Department (ACM) to talk to our students about brand identity design. A very accomplished designer and author of 12 books, Tim shared his own process of conceptualization and design through a series of case studies. Tim's lecture was wonderful.  He shared many steps of his process, from compiling a list of key words and ideas, to a sketch process exploring different kinds of mark making and media, followed by first concept sketches, and finally refined solutions. Tim is an extremely engaging speaker, both in the content and experience he is able to share, and his strengths in storytelling and sharing his enthusiasm. Thank you Tim!
